My first internship was at Sorenson Communications. I’ve had the opportunity to be mentored by the executive interpreting team at the headquarters. This type of interpreting included staff meetings and video relay calls. I’ve had the opportunity to take mock VRS calls for intimate conversations and business calls. This has helped me learned how to manage overlap conversations and learned lots of strategies when I am struggling to understand. This has been a great experience to improve my skills.
